The Dark
Zerro the beastwoman is a sorceress who dwells in the darkness.
Her bond with mini-orblings can deepen darkness into an abyssal gloom as impenetrable as that of the netherworld itself.
She was born into a family of dark magic wielders but detested her lineage and would not actively pursue mastery of that power.
Her family was exiled, branded a disgrace due to Zerro's contempt for her own hereditary talents and relinquishment of duty to her people.
The Force Field
Though Zerro never regretted her decision, she was sorry that her family was swept up in the affair.
Since they could not survive without darkness, she tried using her powers to create a haven of darkness for them.
The catalyst she used for this feat was none other than the loyal mini-orbling that remains at her side today.
The Ascendant
The darkness Zerro controls is a miasma, a noxious bane to all existence.
That she could not forgive. Yet her family could not survive without it.
Ultimately, she was unable to produce enough darkness through talent alone. By the time she learned to crave the dark power she so loathed, it was too late to save her family. They have now left her alone in the world.

"Stay back," said Sha'plar.
Zerro sensed the sorrow that suffused her voice.
"If you should touch me..."
Sha'plar's voice trailed off, as if she were at a loss for words, for Zerro had gently taken the lizardwoman's hands into her own.
"It seems that maybe we were meant to meet, Sha'plar."
Zerro's smile was like spring sunlight filtering through the trees.
"So...warm," murmured Sha'plar.
The warmth of those hands seemed to seep into her veins and fill her heart until it could no longer be contained, flooding out of her eyes into the outside world. Though Sha'plar's expression remained unchanged, the tears falling down her cheeks revealed the depth of her emotion.Gallery[]
