Voice from Beyond is the twenty-second chapter. Some enemies in this chapter are significantly resistant to Ice and Lightning attacks.

"Pepropé! Is that you?"

"So you recognize my voice. Yes, Princess, it's me"

Yet Pepropé is nowhere in sight.

"Where aer you, Pepropé? Come out."

Pepropé has transcended the mortal realm, but that familiar voice still reaches you from the beyond.

While aware that it will hurt Princess Palpa cruelly, he speaks in order to fulfill the role he must play.

"It would seem that I've somehow conjoined with this ship and it is keeping me alive--in a fashion."

Everyone is understadably bewildered by Pepropé's words.

"Conjoined? So what does that make the ship? Is it the god we've been seeking?"

"You could say that. but a part of her died from the assault by the aliens' attack."

"Died?! Then what will become of our world?"

"Fear not. The ship has transferred all control to me. I am now the ship, and the ship is now me."

"Are you saying you're a god now, Pepropé?"

"While that is essentially so, I have no intention of claiming myself divine. There is a matter more urgent--namely, the reason we fell to this planet. Allow me to explain."

You question Pepropé but there is no answer.

"Perhaps there is something I can yet do as princess of the stonefolk..."

Palpa has an indefinable premonition and the sense that she has one final duty to carry out as princess.

Pepropé chose his path: to save Palpa from doom. Palpa must likewise choose hers. And another thought lingers in her mind: If she must choose, then it will be a path that Pepropé would accept.

"For I am the princess of the stonefolk."

This distant, uncertain world evokes in each you a deep longing for the world whence you came.
