Treasure Hunter is a passive skill that increases the base drop rate of items from enemies by 25%.

As an equip skill, it will be in effect for the entire duration of the battle. Treasure Hunter has no effect on items received after battle, monster drop rates (see: Negotiator), or companions. When receiving an item that drops in random quantities, it does not increase the chance of receiving more of the item.

## Drop rate calculations

`Effective drop rate = [base drop rate] × (1 + 0.25 × [number of Treasure Hunters])`

Additional Treasure Hunter skills are additive, but cap at 60%: two Treasure Hunters will increase the base drop rate by 50%, and three by 60%. Having additional Treasure Hunters beyond three will not increase the drop rate any further.

Drop rate multipliers, such as from Daily Bonus, are applied after Treasure Hunter.

The final drop rate is rounded down to the nearest tenths.

Examples:

• 20% base drop rate
• One Treasure Hunter: `20% × (1 + 0.25) = 25%`
• Two Treasure Hunters: `20% × (1 + 0.50) = 30%`
• Three Treasure Hunters: `20% × (1 + 0.75) -> cap -> (1 + 0.60) = 32%`
• One Treasure Hunter on a double drop day: `20% × (1 + 0.25) × 2 = 50%`
• 5% base drop rate
• One Treasure Hunter: `5% × (1 + 0.25) = 6.25% → rounded down → 6.2%`
• Two Treasure Hunters: `5% × (1 + 0.50) = 7.5%`
• Three Treasure Hunters: `5% × (1 + 0.75) -> cap -> (1 + 0.60) = 8%`
• One Treasure Hunter on a double drop day: `5% × (1 + 0.25) × 2 = 12.5%`
• 1% base drop rate
• One Treasure Hunter: `1% × (1 + 0.25) = 1.25% → rounded down → 1.2%`
• Two Treasure Hunters: `1% × (1 + 0.50) = 1.5%`
• Three Treasure Hunters: `1% × (1 + 0.75) -> cap -> (1 + 0.60) = 1.6%`
• One Treasure Hunter on a double drop day: `1% × (1 + 0.25) × 2 = 2.5%`
