Renova the Wise
A beastgirl attending a magic academy renowned for producing many outstanding magicians.
She was admitted to a class for only the brightest students, a fact to be proud of. Yet, it is difficult to distinguish oneself when all of one's classmates are geniuses.
Renova the Scholar
A beastgirl attending a magic academy renowned for producing many outstanding magicians.
She was admitted to a class for only the brightest students, a fact to be proud of. Yet, it is difficult to distinguish oneself when all of one's classmates are geniuses.
Once a year, the academy holds a field session, where students get to put theory into practice in a real world setting. This time the session took place in the Tower of Temptation ruins. A very poor choice, as it turned out.
Terrible monsters assailed the students, who were poorly equipped for such a situation. A tragedy was averted only thanks to a party of brave adventurers who happened to be in the vicinity. They slayed the monsters, and the students made it back safely.
The experience was a real eye-opener for Renova. She saw firsthand the gap between school learning and challenges encountered in practice. With her tutors' approval, she decided to join her saviors and continue her education not between the musty walls of the academy, but out there in the world, where you can never be sure what life will throw at you.
