Profile[]
Rejin is a master blacksmith who devotes his days to honing his craft deep in the mountains. He seeks his own path in this remote and solitary place.
He was once a swordsmith of some renown, pouring heart and soul into the blades he forged. In the course of that work, he came to hear an otherworldly voice.
He soon developed a rather unhealthy obsession with the existence of spirits.
Abandoning the sword, he took up alchemy instead, focusing specifically on the transmutation of life.
It was a practice based on a simple principle: sacrifice something and gain something in return. Since this entailed an irreversible trade, it was widely regarded as a slippery slope to depravity and therefore taboo. But Rejin's interest had nothing to do with such ethical questions.
Years had come and gone, yet Rejin had failed to craft a blade that satisfied him. As his youth waned, so did his skills. Time was running out.
He turned to alchemy in desperation, using himself as a catalyst to create a double that would live forever.
Rejin gained immortality himself, in a fashion. He gave up his worldly existence but lived on as a spirit, wandering for all eternity.Gallery[]
