Odin dwells in a great hall howling with ferocious gales, eternally watching over the cycle of creation and annihilation.
He is known in some lands as the Allfather, he who fathered the gods of Asgard and fashioned the world from chaotic nothingness.Odin is a divine emissary of the Maker--one of many familiar to peoples the world over. Though their names and details may vary, these deities are known and venerated by civilizations of countless lands and ages.
The Allfather has witnessed the birth and demise of innumerable emissaries of the Maker over the years.
The Maker and her mortal children throw open the gates of faith, and in the domain of dreams they join the hands of imagination. In this way, the Maker attempts to share her wisdom with the peoples of the world--until the day mortal imagination transcends that of the divine.
Over time, the divine emissaries came to captivate people's hearts.
The deity who should have stood at their center was gradually forgotten, her very name lost to the mists of history.
As belief in the Maker faded, dreams, fantasies, and love likewise dwindled away.
The world was sundered from her will. Her emissaries, born of imagination, slowly but surely returned to nothingness. With these cornerstones lost, the world spiraled toward collapse. The Allfather could only look on in helpless vexation.
Odin can only be recruited during events when his quests are available at the Arena. Odin can be recruited from any difficulty, but the items for Jobs 2 & 3 can only be acquired after recruiting Odin, and are specific to Evolved and Ultra. Recruitment and special drop rates are as follows:
Odin Descended - 20% chance of recruitment if you don't already have Odin.
Odin Ultra - 100% chance of recruitment if you don't already have Odin, or 100% chance to drop Amethyst Flame if you've already recruited Odin, or 50% chance to drop Rune if you already have Odin and Amethyst Flame. It is not necessary to add Odin's Job 2 in order to get Rune, you only need to have the Amethyst Flame.
Farming for SB increase: Odin can only be farmed for SB increase after you've acquired Rune. Please note: once you have Rune, recruitment for SB increase can only be accomplished via the Odin Ultra quest, which has a modified recruitment chance of 30% after the above criteria have been met; negotiator skills can increase this. Odin cannot be farmed for SB increase from Descended or Evolved, as the recruitment chance is 0% after the initial recruitment. Also note that Odin's SB increase is only 3% instead of the usual 5% increase.
