Profile[edit | edit source]
In the depths of the ocean almost wholly untouched by light dwells the great sea serpent Leviathan.
Her abode is said to swirl with faintly luminous bubbles that dimly illuminate those murky depths.Leviathan is a divine emissary of the Maker--one of many familiar to peoples the world over. Though their names and details may vary, these deities are known and venerated by civilizations of countless lands and ages.
Remarkably, while their names do change, their stories share striking similarities.Perhaps this can be attributed to a guiding influence on the collective unconscious of all living creatures.
Distinctly different peoples thus revere remarkably similar deities, effectively transcending race, language, land, and culture.
Who, then, is the guiding influence?
The answer is self-evident: The Maker.
Faith is the circuit that connects us to her will. She is at the heart of the vast network of the unconscious that we term "fantasy."The foamy bubbles that softly illumine Leviathan's abode are fragments of the imaginative power that gives the great sea serpent form.
Recruitment[edit | edit source]
Leviathan can only be recruited during events when her quests are available at the Arena. Leviathan can be recruited from any difficulty, but the items for Jobs 2 & 3 can only be acquired after recruiting Leviathan, and are specific to Evolved and Ultra. Recruitment and special drop rates are as follows:
Leviathan Descended - 20% chance of recruitment if you don't already have Leviathan.
Leviathan Ultra - 100% chance of recruitment if you don't already have Leviathan, or 100% chance to drop Cobalt Goblet if you've already recruited Leviathan, or 50% chance to drop Trident if you already have Leviathan and Cobalt Goblet. It is not necessary to add Leviathan's Job 2 in order to get Trident, you only need to have the Cobalt Goblet.
Farming for SB increase: Leviathan can only be farmed for SB increase after you've acquired Trident. Please note: once you have Trident, recruitment for SB increase can only be accomplished via the Leviathan Ultra quest, which has a modified recruitment chance of 30% after the above criteria have been met; negotiator skills can increase this. Leviathan cannot be farmed for SB increase from Descended or Evolved, as the recruitment chance is 0% after the initial recruitment. Also note that Leviathan's SB increase is only 3% instead of the usual 5% increase.
