She highly valued world peace. Ever since childhood, she has visited the Azure Kingdom many times, including a brief study abroad there, all as a symbolic gesture of peace.
However, the amicable relations came to a cruel and tragic end when Princess Senala was murdered at the peace ceremony, her body mutilated beyond recognition.

It's all part of a tangled conspiracy. And it most likely has to do with gaining the power she tried to avoid.
Society is divided into two groups, the "haves" and the "have-nots." That much is fine. So long as morality is upheld, both individuals and society at large will benefit, and the people will strive to pursue happiness.
But those who get a taste of power soon forget their morals. These greed-blinded individuals control the economy, and with it, society as a whole.
That's how it came to the "assassination plot." Senala was well aware that her very existence was seen as an obstacle to some.
If she took the stage now, certain powers would see to it that she disappeared for good... so she had no choice but to hide and lie low for a while.
Senala wishes for a world in which people reach out to help each other. She won't let anyone trample on those ideals, whatever it takes.
She had no choice but to live in secret, hiding in a cavern, day after day surrounded by darkness, until one day she finally saw the light of hope.
