Profile[]

The Highborn

Ba'gunar, the self-proclaimed king of the lizardfolk, fell into hibernation when he stumbled into a trap at the top of the Tower of Temptation, an arcane structure built by the ancient civilization of Gallus.

He is highly volatile, prone to flying into rages instantly and stumbling into traps often.

When questioned about why he was at the top of the tower in the first place, he was unable to give a straight answer.

The Regal

Unlike other lizardfolk, he does not consider his kind the chosen ones.

Whether this is due to experience or something akin to indifference remains unclear.

The August

Unlike other lizardfolk, he allegedly values peace and harmony.

When asked why he detests strife, however, he promptly threw a fit.

He is paradox personified.

After Chapter 6

"Hm? There's something familiar about this place..."

Ba'gunar's air and demeanor have changed since your arrival in the city of Agra.

With Palpa

"I see you're doing well, King Ba'gunar."

Palpa greeted him with these words. It seems the self-proclaimed king of the lizardfolk was indeed a king.

Centuries ago, Ba'gunar led a host against the Tower of Temptation in hopes of taking it for his own.

Before that fateful day, however, he had descended into the bowels of the earth in search of the Maker. It was there that he first met Princess Palpa.

In the city of Agra, the mechanical insects assaulted and afflicted the brains of his men. Ba'gunar's forces beat a hasty retreat back to the Tower of Temptation, but there they were left utterly spent.

Ba'gunar was left without an officer to advise him or a friend to watch his back.

It was this ill fortune that gave rise to his seething rage. Ironically, the mechanical insects' influence over him has now mitigated the violence of his emotions, thus allowing him to find new comrades.

After Chapter 16

But an enigma yet remains.

Why was Ba'gunar's life spared in the Tower of Temptation?

He was cast into a deep slumber and then given a role to play: that of the guide to the wayfarers seeking the Maker.

Perhaps this, too, was the will of Animata.
