Profile[edit | edit source]

Death has a scent all its own. It is not the stench of decay, but rather a subtle scent that wafts from those fated to die.

It drifts across every corner of every land, yet goes largely undetected. Few can smell it, for the minds of the living are conditioned to remain insensible to death.

But a very rare few can pick up death's scent--and they all tell of a demon that appears along with it.

The story is always the same. Pointing into empty space, they shout:

"Over there! It's right there!"

They claim the demon, known as an Ethereal, comes for those who exude the scent of death, as though seeking a warm embrace.

Such claims were initially laughed off, but they have since gained some credence.

A certain physician kept copious notes on his conversations with patients who could see the demon. The final line reads:

"Over there! It's right--"

The line ends there. It was the last thing the good doctor ever wrote.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Ethereal (Japanese: インビジブル Inbijiburu)
  • Ethereal is promotional character that can be obtained as a limited gift code reward from either the Famitsu Magazine [Nov 2014 Issue] or the "Gather Your Allies" Facebook event.
    • Each gift code used to obtain this unit in-game is unique and may be used once only. This unit can only be obtained through gift codes once per account.
  • The name "Ethereal" refers to the skeletal creature in the character's profile, not the woman standing alongside the creature. It is assumed that the woman is a human personification of the creature.
