Eileen was born to a humble greengrocer in a town that's seen better days.

Her singing was so lovely that it captivated anyone within earshot. Even the local dogs would stop to listen, mesmerized.

The townsfolk saw her as a chosen one. They were certain she was destined to soar off to the city and bring glory to their lonesome town.

On the day Eileen set out to pursue that dream, she sang them a farewell as they looked on with anticipation and hope.

She sang about the power of music. A warm song could unlock a heart long closed off to the world. A bittersweet song could soothe a scarred one. The world needed that power.

And Eileen knew that no matter what lay ahead, it would sustain and uplift her, as it always had.

So she set out for the bright lights of the big city.

Eileen soon found that she was no longer a big fish in a small pond. In the wide world beyond her hometown, she was simply ordinary.

The city was bursting with infinite possibility and dazzling talent. It was also rife with commercialism that deftly manipulated both for profit.

Eileen resolved to do whatever she had to. Singing was her dream and song her very soul.

Heedless of audience, venue, or anything else, she sang on.
