Djugan Λ
Djugan Λ is an ex-soldier, now making a living as a hunter in the highlands.
Originally he lived in the city, but unfortunately he was dragged into a violent riot that left him with grave injuries. From there, he decided to start a new life.
He was a total stranger to the highlands, and yet the people there welcomed him with open arms. At first he assumed it was because prior to his arrival, the villagers were living in fear of the vicious beasts lurking in the mountains. He soon learned, however, that he owed it more due to the fact that he looked identical to a character in a well-known bestselling fantasy picture book published by a mage.
In the book, a retired soldier retreats into the forest, gravely wounded by magic. There, he encounters two lost children, a brother and sister, and rescues them from a giant lizard. He takes them back to their impoverished village and eventually saves the whole town. The story ends with the soldier meeting a beautiful princess.
