Alika is a highborn lady...and stark raving mad. Some call her a vampire princess.
She keeps a harem of young men. One might say she collects them. When she finds one she particularly fancies, she seals him into a crimson coffin.
She's used and tossed aside dozens of men in this manner, their spirits shattered.

The coffin is actually a machine designed to identify the man Alika is meant to marry. It scans its captives' biological data in search of one with a genetic structure most compatible with hers.
A gallant youth visited Alika's castle one day, determined to put a stop to her folly. He was ushered into her bedchamber but halted in a daze the moment he saw her face. He felt as though he'd been struck by lightning.
Alika likewise tingled head to foot as though electrified.
She shoved the youth into the crimson casket without a moment's hesitation. And it affirmed her soulmate at last.
Overjoyed, Alika offered up a prayer of thanks and made him a permanent addition to her collection. Nothing would part her from her beloved this time.
The coffin now serves as a life support system to sustain him. Alika spends long hours gazing dreamily at her latest catch through its transparent red walls.
